Our very first bottling of The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength happened by chance. In 2017, whilst reviewing parcels of stock from 2007 and 2008, our Master Distiller Billy Walker was so delighted by the balance and depth of the samples that he immediately decided to add a younger expression to our core range. Our Fourth Batch was awarded ‘World’s Best Single Malt’ at the World Whiskies Awards 2021, so the bar has been set high as we introduce our seventh release. The GlenAllachie Cask Strength Batch 7 is a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons along with a small quantity of Virgin Oak and Rioja casks. The resulting whisky bursts with indulgent notes of of ripe plums, dark chocolate and sticky raisins, all coupled with classic GlenAllachie honeyed charm. Batch 7 is bottled at 56.8%, non chill filtered and natural colour.
This glorious golden malt has been matured for over eleven years in American Oak Barrels, before being transferred into expertly selected Madeira Barriques which previously held wine made from Malvasia grapes. The result is a unique twist on the classic GlenAllachie style, with the perfect balance of sweet and spice. Bottled at 48%, with no added colouring and unchilfiltered for flavour. From Batch 3 of The GlenAllachie Wood Finish Range.
Bottled exclusively for the UK, this sophisticated 14-year-old Single Malt obtains its classic vanilla and spiced tones from maturation in 1st and 2nd fill American Oak Barrels before being re-racked into Oloroso Sherry Puncheons for over 2 years. The whisky was monitored frequently by Master Distiller, Billy Walker, to ensure the achievement of exceptional balance between wood and spirit influence, before being bottled at natural cask strength of 55.4% for the ultimate flavour experience.
This glorious rich mahogany malt has been matured for over nine years in American Oak Barrels. The additional maturation in richly seasoned Pedro Ximénez puncheons adds layers of complexity, resulting in a sweeter, fruitier flavour experience. Bottled at 48%, with no added colouring and unchilfiltered for flavour. From Batch 3 of The GlenAllachie Wood Finish Range.
This gorgeous ruby red malt was initially aged for ten years in American Oak Barrels before being re-racked into Ruby Port Pipes. The secondary maturation period further develops the depth of flavour and complexity, as well as bestowing a vibrant, rich colour. Bottled at 48%, with no added colouring and unchilfiltered for flavour. From Batch 3 of The GlenAllachie Wood Finish Range.
From Batch 2 of our Virgin Oak Series, this golden bronze malt was first matured in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels before undergoing additional maturation in hogsheads made of French oak (Quercus Robur), sourced from the Haute-Garonne region, for approximately 18 months. The fine-grained wood was air dried for 15 months before hosting the GlenAllachie spirit. The secondary maturation period has added silky tannins, sweet spices and fruit notes to this delectable, earthy single malt. Bottled at 48%, natural colour and non chill filtered.
From Batch 2 of our Virgin Oak Series, this exceptional malt was first matured in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels before undergoing additional maturation in casks made of Chinquapin Oak (Quercus Muehlenbergii), which is sourced from the Northern Ozark region in Missouri for approximately 18 months. The casks were air dried for almost four years, then toasted to medium level before hosting the spirit. The result is a complex, zesty malt bursting with runny honey, sweet cinnamon and orange peel. Bottled at 48%, natural colour and non chill filtered.

Built in 1967 as a small compact distillery, GlenAllachie was the fourth distillery designed by William Delme-Evans. The complete whisky making process was gravity fed and combined with unusual horizontal condensers it was a triumph of engineering and design.

Fast forward 50 years and we’re reaping the benefit when we bring you the GlenAllachie 25 year old. A combination of Pedro Ximinez and Oloroso casks specially selected by our Master Distiller Billy Walker and bottled at a slightly higher ABV of 48%.
