Located within touching distance of the walled city of Estremoz, this estate is noted for its beauty, history and nowadays for its excellent wines.

They are without doubt a testament to the producer’s (Miguel Louro) character and tireless devotion to these special vineyards. Add to this a spirit of innovation and experimentation, which has over the past 30 odd years seen Quinta do Mouro wines gain notoriety and recognition throughout Portugal and the World.

Grape Varieties: 45% Trincadeira, 30% Aragonez, 15% Alicante Bouschet and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Winemaking Process: Hand harvested, fermentation in stainless steal tanks with temperature control.

Whilst completely a wine of the Alentejo, with that unmistakeable 'roasted' fruit character, this also has the freshness of the cooler (higher) lands of Estremoz, behind the Serra d'Ossa mountain. This wine truely over delivers for its price point. This is very much a food wine and is very versatile, try with white meats through to stews!
